Angry days
January 10, 2007 – 9:41 amI am pregnant and have many more angry days than I would normally allow myself.
On angry days I……
1. listen to music
2. put my kids to bed early
3. write in the angry journal
4. pout with my scowly face on.
5. take a nap.
6. clean aggressively ( usually am so greatful for an angry day, one day after angry day. I catch up on all my laundry, wash the floors, and finish all the household projects I don’t want to look at anymore)
7. eat yummy food (This could be sad if my metabolism changes from jack rabbit to walrus in the near future)
8. read
What things do you do on "angry" days?

I clean on angry days, and throw a lot of things away. (I love the result of the angry days too)

I clean and declutter too! My movements are brisk and sharp, I try to not talk to my kids much…. because my words and tone are brisk and sharp too. I blog extra, and will occasionally swear in in the comments I make on blogs that don’t mind such language.. Usually I will be excused when Dadguy gets home from work. He sends me away to go get myself a brimming and icy cup of Diet Dr. Pepper, and take a drive with the music loud and nasty.
Been blogging extra today, left a two-swear-word comment on RockStar Mommy, and am fully expecting a soda-drink-treat pass this evening. HA!

I love the idea of an angry journal. I might have to implement that.
If there are Costco boxes lying around when I am angry, I have been known to kick them across the room. Other than that I am with you on putting the kids to bed early, putting on my angry face and then I generally give myself a time out in my room and read blogs

If I cleaned on my angry days, I think it would be an easier pill for everyone to swallow. Way to be constructive. If you need more ideas, it’s really fun to paint an angry painting and then burn it the next time you’re really mad. Beware of toxic fumes though.

Chocolate. Lots of it. And Sprite.
