I just watched Pride and Prejudice for the second time tonight. So today I’m online and getting my copy of the book. We’ll see how that goes.

A fun, quick read is Cheaper By The Dozen. Not the same storyline as the Steve Martin Movie. Very funny. Great idea for a post, I’m looking forward to some summer reading, too!

I have been finding myself reading a lot of the things my 12-year-old has been reading just so that I know what she is talking about. Anyways . . . I have read Holes, I am reading the Chronicles of Narnia, which I have never read. Also, I have read a few books by Gail Carson Levine who did Ella Enchanted. While these may not be extremely adult type of books, they are fun and would be a nice read for a lazy summer afternoon. By the way, my husband’s favorite book is The Alchemist. He keeps trying to get me to read it. I think I will put that on my list for this summer.

The Widow of the South was good, The Real Lincoln has been very thought provoking for me, and I enjoyed Memoirs of a Geisha. I didn’t know you were doing school! I haven’t told myself I am, but I *did* apply for financial aide, I *did* apply to the school, I *did* do the placement testing, and I *did* request for my transcripts to be sent to the college. But maybe if I don’t *tell* myself I’m going to school, I won’t notice? LOL

LOVE LOVE LOVE Angels and Deamons and the DaVinci Code. I hope you do too. I just reread the DaVinci Code again two Sundays ago. I got SOOOO much more out of it the second time around. Good luck with your list. I hope you post reviews of the books. Oh, if I may add a few more recommendation, Night, by Elle Wiesel. SO sad, but SO good. I also love anything by Nicholas Sparks and Orson Scott Card. OSC’s series on the Women of Genesis and Stone Tablets are my favorites.

I just finished the Kite Runner. A little tough, but I really liked it. I know practically nothing about the Middle East, so it was good to read SOMETHING about it.
