Best of the Best
April 17, 2006 – 6:07 amStuff I love to love…..
Thing 1 has just bloomed in the speach area. He almost had a 2 word conversation with my father. Last night we introduced Blue Berries. The first attempt at saying the two words together he exicuted it flawlessly. "Blue Berries." It flowed out like honey. Smooth and sweet and while holding a frozen bit of loveliness packed with antioxidents. Then by the end of the night when I had asked him to keep saying the words over and over again. It was shortened significantly shortened. Now instead of Blue Berries he declares he would like…….
"Buuuuu Beeeesss!!!"
Evidently the Ls and Rs are the first of consonants to be illiminated. In the past I have blogged about how he enjoys the ends of the words instead of the beginings. Words like:
Fork= Ork
Spoon= oon
light= ight
I had a feeling I would start laughing soon.
wash = aaash!
Grass= *yes you got it.
so now we have blue berries.
I would say he is on the slow road to somewhere I call "Speach Arapy".
So on the top of the list of STUFF I love.
1. Thing one’s vocab. aquisition.
2. Sunny days
3. Cranberry Sauce
4. Fire Flies
5. Good Literature
6. Life Savers in the form of a book.
7. Sewing projects that don’t require anything more than straight seems.
8. Baths with or without jets, bubbles and scented oils.
9. Good Health.
10. Optimism
11. Nicknames
12. Painting
13. My children’s laughter.
14. Traveling
What do you love??

You simply MUST try putting some cranberry sauce in your chicken soup the next time you have it. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm. I love to make my cranberry sauce from scratch with a hint of orange peel and juice. :O)
